Commodities/Services purchased by DNR
The SC Department of Natural Resources (DNR) purchases an array of commodities utilized in operations which support the preservation and protection of the State's Natural Resources. Commodities can range from feed, seed, fertilizer and related agricultural equipment to marine aquatic supplies and related services, office equipment and supplies, office furniture, travel services, vehicle repair services, marine repair services, uniform clothing items, navigational buoys, geologic core drilling services, grounds maintenance services, aggregate materials, building supplies and printing services.
More complex commodities include coastal and freshwater law enforcement patrol boats, research vessels, outboard motors, boat trailers, automobiles, trucks, all-terrain vehicles, navigation equipment, communication equipment, information technology equipment, global positioning and related navigation equipment, professional services, laboratory equipment and supplies, weather forecasting equipment and related services, law enforcement equipment and related supplies, minor construction, fixed winged aircraft and related repair services, and items for commercial resale.
All of the above commodities are purchased by DNR's Procurement Office.
