NOTE

Valid codes are case sensitive and must be entered as such. This decoder translates all valid NWI wetlands classification codes as specified in:

Classification of Wetlands and Deepwater Habitats of the United States (FWS/OBS - 79/31 December, 1979).

Valid Anderson Level II upland codes may also be translated, and can be found in:

Anderson, et al., 1976. A Land Use and Land Cover Classification System for Use with Remote Sensor Data. U.S. Geological Survey Circular 671.

This decoder was developed using translation descriptions developed by the National Wetland Inventory.
