Unusually heavy monthly amounts occurred in northwestern counties, but elsewhere amounts were near normal to below, except a few scattered localities. Rain occurred at frequent intervals throughout the month, the average number of rainy days was 9, or 4 days more than normal. Light to moderate floods occurred in the Saluda, Broad, Santee, and Savannah rivers, mostly following heavy rains up-State on the 19th.
