Rainfall became more plentiful during the last half of the month substantially relieving drought conditions that had developed earlier in the spring, it was heavier in southern portion causing considerable localizing flooding. Pickens County caused the heaviest flash flooding in years. Two people were killed and seven injured. Mudslides blocked many roads and a number of bridges were washed out.
