A rapidly intensifying coastal storm on the 11th and 12th produced the earliest measurable South Carolina snowfall outside of the Upstate mountains. Prior to 1968, the earliest measurable snows had fallen on November 13, 1904. The record earliest November measurable snowfall in South Carolina occurred at Caesars Head on November 4, 1930.
