WEATHER SUMMARY

A cold rain accompanied early risers on Monday morning. From Tuesday through Friday daily temperatures slowly warmed into the upper 70's and low 80's. Rainshowers were reported on Saturday in association of a frontal passage. Sunday ended the period with a sharp drop in temperatures and gusting northwesterly winds. Statewide temperatures for the period averaged five degrees above normal.

PRECIPITATION AND TEMPERATURE DATA

The highest temperature was 82 degrees at Charleston City on February 15. The lowest temperature was 19 degrees at Anderson on the morning of February 18. The heaviest rainfall reported was 1.52" at N. Myrtle Beach on February 12. The average statewide rainfall for the period was 0.7".
