WEATHER SUMMARY

High pressure ruled throughout the week with sub-freezing mornings and cold afternoons. A few light rain showers perhaps mixed with sleet and snow was observed on Tuesday morning over the northern counties. More reenforcing cold followed with minimum temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday falling into the teens. The first official day of Winter 200 arrived Thursday but was hardly noticed because of the persistent below normal temperatures. Statewide temperatures for the period averaged ten degrees below normal.

PRECIPITATION AND TEMPERATURE DATA

The maximum temperature was unavailable. The minimum temperature was 11 degrees at Lake Bowen on the morning of December 20. The heaviest 24-hour rainfall was unavailable. Statewide average rainfall for the period was 0.1".
