South Drought Response Committee Conference Call

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources will conduct a South Carolina Drought Response Committee Conference Call on October 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM. The purpose of the drought conference call is to evaluate the drought status State-wide. The meeting was postponed on October 4 due to the State’s Emergency response to the historic rain and flooding event. We all recognize there is no drought in many areas and we may consider retroactively downgrading the drought during the time period closer to the flood event

Contact South Carolina's State Climatologist, Dr. Hope Mizzell, at (803) 734-9568 or e-mail at mizzellh@dnr.sc.gov for more information.
