Dargan's Pond

This property is not owned by South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, but is part of the leased lands management program.

Dargan's Pond is a 50-acre fishing lake in the Pee Dee Research and Education center providing largemouth bass, bluegill and shell-cracker fishing. The lake offers a boat ramp, fishing pier, picnic access and is handicapped access. Dargan's Pond is located off Interstate Highway 95 in Darlington County.

Daily fish limits are 20 bream, 3 catfish, and 3 largemouth bass (16 inches or longer). Anglers are allowed to keep 2 bass under the 16 inch minimum.

This area is open Wednesdays and Saturdays only from March 1 - September 30, 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset.

Directions:

Take I-95 North from the Town of Florence to exit #170. Turn left on Highway 327 and go about 2 miles and turn left at the Dargans Pond sign. This road will deadend at the lake.
