Hours of Operation

The preserve is only available for visitation by guided tour.

Contributions to the Endangered Wildlife Fund on the South Carolina Income Tax Form help to make the identification and management of these preserves possible.

Description

B.F. Landrum began making pottery here in 1848 and passed the tradition on to his son, who continued the process into the 1920’s. The preserve protects an alkaline glaze stoneware site and is the only true folk pottery in the Old Edgefield District.
