Directions
The preserve is accessed by boat only. Nearby public boat landings include:
- Lemon Island on Cheechessee River
- Colleton River at Victoria Bluff
- Broad River at Hwy 170
Port Royal Sound at the preserve is a wide, exposed water body adjacent to Atlantic Ocean, and conditions can be rough near the preserve. Always consult National Weather Service for weather and water conditions when visiting Daws Island, and use caution.
