Savannah River Bluffs Heritage Preserve

Directions

To get to the preserve from the intersection of I-20 and SC Highway 230, go southeast on SC 230 about .5 mile toward North Augusta. Turn on the first road to the right. Go .2 mile and turn right again. Travel .3 mile and pass through an open aluminum gate, then go .1 mile and the parking lot is on the left, between two pipe gates. Please do not block the parking lot entrance.

The hiking trail begins just beyond the parking lot. Walk around the closed pipe gate, and follow the old roadbed down the power line, then turn left to the next ridge. The trail goes into the woods to the right, loops down to the river, and then comes back to the power line.
