St. Helena Sound Heritage Preserve

Directions

To access south Williman Island:

• Winbee Creek Landing - take U.S. Hwy. 17 north of Gardens Corner (where US 21 intersects); turn right on SC Hwy. 43; approx. 4.5 miles, rd on left.

To access Otter Island:

• Live Oak Landing - from US Hwy. 17 take SC Hwy. 174 toward Edisto Beach; turn right just before entering Edisto Beach State Park; located on Big Bay Creek

To access the lower end of the Preserve, including Otter, Ashe, and Beet islands:

• Bennett's Point Landing - from Jacksonboro take U.S. Hwy. 17 south approximately 7 miles, left on SC Hwy. 26 for 17 miles to the end of Bennett's Point Road

For the more inland maritime islands:

• Old Chehaw Landing and Fields Point Landing - both located off of Secondary Hwy. 161, which intersects U.S. Hwy. 17 approximately 11 miles south of Jacksonboro.
