March 3, 2016DNR to offer youth wild turkey hunting clinic April 5 in Clinton

The S.C. Department of Natural Resources is offering a great opportunity for youth to attend a wild turkey hunting clinic on April 5 in Laurens County.

The free clinic, to be held from 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, will introduce youth ages 10-17 to the basics of turkey hunting. The clinic's hands-on sessions include: game care and prep, turkey calling, marksmanship skills, and how to keep it legal while hunting.

The first 25 youth who contact 1st Sgt. Steve Simpson at SimpsonS@dnr.sc.gov will be able to attend.

The S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will confirm your attendance by e-mail with further instructions, including clinic location, so respond quickly for a slot. Lunch will be provided at this free event and parents/guardians are welcome to stay while their students participate.
