S.C. Wildlife Federation hosts auction, wild game feast Aug. 4
The South Carolina Wildlife Federation is counting down the days until the annual WILD Summer’s Nite Auction and Wild Game Feast on Saturday, Aug. 4.
Emceed by Columbia's own David Stanton with WIS-TV, this year's auction will be held on Saturday, Aug. 4 at the Moore Building on the South Carolina State Fairgrounds. The event, suitably named The WILD Summer’s Nite Auction, & Wild Game Feast, begins at 6 p.m. when doors open for food, spirits, socializing, games and more. A silent auction kicks off the evening at 6 p.m., followed by a live auction beginning at 8 p.m.
Purchase your tickets easily online. For more details, sponsorship or donating items or services call (803) 256-0670 or e-mail Whitney Robertson at whitney@scwf.org.
Guests will enjoy a delectable feast of wild game including venison, quail, alligator and duck as well as chicken and vegetarian dishes. Thanks to generous donors, admission to the Wild Summer's Nite Auction & Wild Game Feast includes all-you-can-eat food catered by Tronco’s. Sweets and spirits will also be included with a chocolate fountain and open bar. This social event permits guests the opportunity to mingle with friends and fellow conservationists.
The silent and live auctions will be some of the main highlights of the evening with a wide array of items to choose from. Among the items available are beautiful works of art, hunting excursions, fishing excursions, guided river and kayak tours, golfing packages, fishing equipment, chartered boat trips, tickets to just about anywhere you can imagine, something for the ladies, and much more. There are literally hundreds of items to choose from—something for everyone.
Only 150 Benefactor tickets are sold each year with excellent odds of walking out the door with the grand prize of $5,000. Ten Benefactor stubs will be drawn at the event for prize packages valued at $150 or higher. The 11th ticket drawn that evening will be the grand prizewinner. Benefactor tickets are available for $150 each and include a complimentary guest ticket. However, guest tickets are available for general admission at $50 each.
Don’t miss out on the wildest evening that everyone is talking about: the South Carolina Wildlife Federation’s WILD Summer’s Nite. This is a chance to show support of South Carolina’s wildlife and have a wonderful time in the midst of it all.
