The S.C. Department of Natural Resources offers online purchasing for hunting and fishing licenses and watercraft renewal. Resident and non-resident hunting and fishing license purchases and watercraft renewal forms may be accessed by visiting the S.C. Department of Natural Resources’ (DNR) website.
Licenses are effective July 1 through June 30 of the following year unless otherwise specified. You must have a printer available in order to print any licenses purchased from the DNR Web site. Proof of identity is required with online purchasing, and you must have a valid driver’s license, state-issued identification card, military identification or passport to proceed. Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit or debit cards will be accepted for payment of license fees. In addition to the license cost, a convenience fee of $3 is charged for each transaction when purchasing a license online.
When a license is purchased online, individual tags and shrimp licenses will be processed and mailed separately by the DNR within five to seven business days. All licenses, permits, tags and/or stamps must be in possession while engaging in activities for which documents were issued. Identification including name and address must also be in possession.

If you choose to purchase your South Carolina fishing and hunting licenses from a vendor, the DNR Web site lists by county agents currently selling licenses.
Downloadable applications are also available on the Web site, which requires printing the resident or non-resident form and mailing it into the DNR Licensing Division, PO Box 167, Columbia, SC 29202.
