September 16, 2014DNR to begin survey for removal of illegal buoys

The S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Law Enforcement Division will begin a survey Oct. 1 to locate illegal buoys along state waterways and lakes. This action is a result of the increasing number of illegal No Wake buoys that are located on many lakes and waterways Hazard buoyacross the state. They are quickly becoming a navigational hazard and can otherwise be confusing to the public and Law Enforcement.
