Changes in Laws and Regulations
The 2008-2009 SCDNR Rules and Regulations brochure is printed after the end of the legislative session, but prior to some late legislation or regulation changes and is provided for information only. Changes will be publicized in local newspapers and on the DNR’s web site as new legislation is passed. Any discrepancy between the brochure and any statute or regulation shall be governed by the statute or regulation. Also, errors sometimes appear in this brochure and news releases are published to clarify these situations.
Other information is published only in DNR news releases. This includes announcements relative to shrimp baiting, public hearings, fishing rodeos, DNR Board decisions and position statements, new legislation, youth activities, mobility impaired hunts, availability of fish hatchery stock, US Department of Agriculture cost-share programs, special drawing hunts, schedules for newly acquired areas and many other items of interest. DNR news releases are published weekly and distributed free to editors of all regional and local newspapers.
