But healthy life in streams depends on healthy connections between plants and animals in the river and the plants and animals that live on the surrounding lands through which the river flows. Only through the actions of caring citizens, can we be sure the nearest warm water stream will be able to provide its full suite of ecological, economic and cultural values.
