Incipient Drought Declaration Lifted for South Carolina
The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) has lifted the incipient drought declaration for all counties in South Carolina. The return to near normal rainfall during January has alleviated drought conditions statewide. Groundwater and streamflows have responded to the increased rainfall and have returned to near normal levels. SCDNR will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.
