The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR) Analytical Lab provides analysis of water, soil, sediment, and tissues in support of SCDNR research projects. Lab personnel are available to consult with the SCDNR researchers during study planning, study conduct, and study analysis in the areas of chemical analysis, sampling location, and results interpretation.
The SCDNR Analytical Lab is capable of providing the researcher analysis of cations, anions, metals, total soluble solids (TSS), pH, conductivity, acidity, alkalinity, selected organic components, total Kjeldahl nitrogen, mercury and chlorophyll a. Other analysis can be undertaken on an as-needed basis. All analytical work completed followed Standard Operating Procedures based on Standard Methods of Water Analysis.
