Since 1994 Lisa Jones serves as the State Coordinator of the Flood Mitigation Program in the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Land, Water and Conservation Division. She is responsible for administration, coordination and direction for all aspects of the SC Flood Program including floodplain management, flood insurance, flood mitigation and the Flood Map Modernization Initiative.

Lisa holds professional credentials as both an ASFPM Certified Floodplain Manager and Certified Public Manager. Lisa served as Chair of the Association of State Floodplain Managers from 1999-2001. In 2002, Lisa was appointed to serve on FEMA’s Community Rating System Task Force and also serves as the Liaison to the ASFPM Regulations Committee. She is also a member of the South Carolina Society of Certified Public Managers, South Carolina Association for Hazard Mitigation.

Lisa co-founded the South Carolina Association of Hazard Mitigation 1996. Lisa has acquired direct experience in both floodplain and emergency management professions since 1985.
