The Board of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources held a conference call meeting at 9:00 am, August 27, 2015, in room 335 of the Rembert C. Dennis Building, Columbia, SC. Notice of the date, time and place of the meeting was posted and mailed to the news media. Chairman Glenn McFadden presided at the meeting. Board members present included Cary Chastain, Michael Hutchins, Norman Pulliam and Larry Yonce. Board members Randy Lowe and Elizabeth Willis' absences were excused. Director Alvin Taylor and staff members of the Department of Natural Resources were present at the meeting.

  1. Call to Order
    Chairman Glenn McFadden called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone to the meeting.
  2. Introduction of Guests
    Director Taylor informed the Board that no guests were present.
  3. Constituent Comments
    Director Taylor reported that there were no requests for constituent comments.
  4. Items for Board Action

    Proposed 2015-16 Late Migratory Bird Hunting Season
    Emily Cope, Deputy Director for Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries, expressed her appreciation to the Board for agreeing to consideration taking action on the proposed 2016-16 late migratory bird season. Derrell Shipes, Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division, reviewed the recommendations for the 2015-16 Late Migratory Bird Hunting Season. Mr. Pulliam made a motion that the Board approve the 2015-16 Late Migratory Bird Hunting Seasons as presented. Mr. Hutchins seconded the motion and the motion carried unanimously.
  5. Time and Location of the Next Meeting
    The September 2015 meeting will be held Wednesday, September 23 in Columbia.
  6. Adjournment
    There being no further business to be brought before the DNR Board at this time, the meeting was adjourned.
