March 1975

Rainfall averaged above normal in the northern and western part of the state. While rainfall occurred throughout the month, the heaviest rain was concentrated near the middle of the month. Heavy rains pushed the PeeDee, Wateree, Santee, and Congaree Rivers to the highest levels seen within the past several years. Considerable damage was reported along the Wateree near Camden and along the PeeDee below Cheraw, as well as in Lake Saluda area near Greenville.
