SCDNR Board Workshop Minutes

The Board of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources held a workshop at 12:30 pm, July 19, 2023 at the Environmental Learning Center at Edisto Island State Park. Notice of the date, time and place of the workshop was posted and mailed to the news media. Members present included Chairman Norman Pulliam, Dr. Mark Hartley, Mike Hutchins, Jerry Lee, Carlisle Oxner, and Duane Swygert. Mr. Jake Rasor’s absence was excused.
Director Boyles and staff members of the Department of Natural Resources were present at the workshop.
The Board received presentations, updates or reports on the following items: South Island Archeology Project, Annual FOIA and Board Governance Training, Depredation Permits. The Board also held a discussion of the FY 2024 State Budget and the FY 2025 State Budget Request.
Time and Location of Next Board Meeting
The Board will hold a meeting on Thursday, August 17, 2023 in Columbia.
