Scot Storm - Wildlife Artist and Conservationist

Since a young boy, Scot Storm has enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and sketching. His talent for drawing and design led him to North Dakota State University, where he earned a degree in architecture. While developing his career in this field, his interest in wildlife art also grew. In 1987, he decided to enter the Minnesota Duck Stamp contest, and he placed second. This encouraged him to enter other contests, leading up to a first place award in the 1991 Indiana Pheasant Stamp competition. Storm was working full-time as an artist by 1999, with an awardwinning collection of waterfowl, wildlife and hunting dog paintings.

The 2017-18 South Carolina Migratory Waterfowl Print features Storm's original work of art, "Wigeon in Flight." He holds sixteen federal, state and conservation stamp wins, including 2004-05 Federal Duck Stamp, 2005-06 and 2014-15 Ducks Unlimited's International Artist of the Year and 2010 and 2014 Pheasants Forever's National Artist of the Year.

Storm and his family live in Freeport, Minnesota. His collection of art, inspired by wildlife and his connection to the outdoors, is featured in galleries and exhibits across the country. The 2017-18 South Carolina Migratory Waterfowl Print is available through Arcadia Publications of Columbia. Call 1-866-271-3001 or visit
