Research interests: Biodiversity, ecology, life history,
population dynamics, reproductive behavior, growth, phylogeny, and
biogeography of decapod crustaceans (swimming crabs, crabs, hermit
crabs, shrimps, and prawns); juvenile development of decapods. During
his visit at SERTC, Dr. Fransozo will be working with Dr.
Lucia Negreiros Fransozo to identify and describe
larval decapod specimens collected in plankton samples from the
Charleston Bump.
