If you need additional information about rare, threatened, and endangered species within a proposed project area, please contact Species Review Team and provide a shapefile, a brief description of the project, and maps of the proposed project area.

A member of the species review team will provide you with a letter outlining:

  1. which species (if any) are found within the project area,
  2. additional information on species of concern which are found near to the project area and may be found on-site if habitat exists, and
  3. general guidance on best management practices specific to your project type or activity and potential species present.

Depending on the complexity of the project, the number and type of species present, and the volume of requests to our office, inquiring parties should expect a response between 15 to 30 days once all materials are received by our office.
