Taxonomic Information

Published Guides

Species Lists

- An objective of the SERTC is to produce taxonomic species lists to marine invertebrate groups that live within the South Atlantic Bight Region

Taxonomic Keys

- We aim to deliver freely available online interactive keys to marine invertebrates that live within the South Atlantic Bight Region

Taxonomic Classifications and Hierarchies

- Free publications that may be of interest

Glossaries

- Often, taxonomists will use descriptive terms in keys that are specific to a group of animals. These can be confusing to those who are trying to identify animals that they have never worked with before. Glossaries are an essential tool to help identify species.
