Move of SCDNR’s hydrology and aquatic nuisance species programs to SCDES effective July 1, 2024.
Pursuant to Act 60 of 2023, SCDNR’s hydrology and aquatic nuisance species programs will move to the newly created Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) on July 1, 2024. SCDNR has been working with the South Carolina Department of Administration, our sister agencies, and our team of talented and dedicated employees to plan for this move and ensure that these programs continue to provide outstanding services without interruption during the transition.
