Marco Staples Brown trout a man holding brown trout a brown trout 4 lbs., 3 oz. 20 inches 4/11/2023 Lake Jocassee This young angler caught his 4 pound Brown trout on Lake Jocassee. The fish hit a Sutton spoon lure 28 feet deep in 150 feet of water while trolling with downriggers.
Samantha Stanley Blue Catfish a child holding brown trout a brown trout N/A 33 inches 4/2/2023 Lake Marion This Blue catfish was caught drift fishing off a pontoon boat 16 feet deep, fairly close to the shoreline, using shrimp for bait suspended about 18 inches off the bottom. Despite getting tangled in two other line while fighting this fish, the young angler was able to land it successfully! She was about to reel up the baits and call it a day at 3:00 PM after fishing since 7:00 AM. However, on the last cast of the day she was lucky enough to land this trophy catfish!
