Beach Sweep/River Sweep is an annual event for South Carolina since 1988 and is organized by the SC Sea Grant Consortium in partnership with the DNR. The Sweep happens the third Saturday in September and is the largest one-day litter cleanup of South Carolina's beaches and waterways. Learn more about the Sweep and related volunteer opportunities.
