1960 July 29 Cedar Key, FL T.S. Brenda Storm center was off-shore Beaufort, South Carolina at about 11:00 AM on July 29. Brenda caused heavy rains along the coast.
1960 September 11 Tampa-St. Petersburg FL. H-4 Donna 50 off shore from Beaufort, at 2:00 p.m EST on the 11th. The storm tracked parallel to the coastline with speeds varying from 20 to 30mph.
1961 September 13 Wilmington, NC T.S. TS#6 Tropical depression well offshore; TS at landfall near Wilmington NC ; no significant effects in SC.
1962 August 27-28 Offshore T.S. Alma Rain event.
1963 October 25 Offshore H Ginny Stayed 50 miles offshore. Heavy rains along coast. Minor damage reported.
1964 June 7 Offshore T.S. TS #1 The storm crossed Florida and tracked parallel to the SC coast on the 6th and 7th. This storm caused heavy rain along the coast from Charleston northwards.
1964 August 29-30 Palm Beach, FL H-2 Cleo Gale force winds along coast. Several inland tornadoes. 3-8 inches of rainfall. Minor flooding and crop damage.
1964 September 12-13 Jacksonville, FL H-2 Dora Tracked northeast over the SC coastal plain. 3-8 inches of rainfall. One tornado reported. Minor damage
1964 October 4-5 New Iberia, LA H-3 Hilda The storm brought heavy to excessive rains to SC on the 4th-6th that caused heavy flood damage. Storm effects were felt in Oconee, Pickens, Greenville, and Spartanburg counties where rainfall in the mountains was reported in excess of 10 inches.
1965 June 15-16 Panama City, FL T.S. TS#1 Decaying storm tracked across the SC Midlands and produced heavy rainfall.
1966 June 10 Apalachee Bay, FL H-2 Alma Produced 65 mph wind gusts in SC as it crossed the southern portion of the State. Heavy rains caused flooding in Dillon County.
1968 June 7-11 Tampa-St. Petersburg FL. T.S. Abby Entered SC near Aiken then tracked into NC. Minor flooding, crop and property damage. 3-10 inches of rain and beach erosion reported.
1968 August 11 Offshore H-1 Dolly Rain event.
1968 October 19-20 Cedar Key, FL H-1 Gladys Passed offshore. Rain and minor flooding reported.
1969 September 8-9 Offshore H-1 Gerda Rain event.
